Sandcut Beach

We naively thought 400m wasn't too far so decided to check out a new to us beach.

The trail was not a novice one.

Eric had to assist Kai the entire way and he moaned all the way down about why, oh why were were doing this walk.  I was wondering the same thing haha.  In the end it was gorgeous and worth it but a nicer, warmer, drier day would have certainly helped.

This is how impressed he was by the time we got there. 

Fake smile while he was fighting the tears.

Up was way harder than down.  I'm definitely feeling it today in my thighs.

We met up for dinner for fire oven pizza.  Yum.

Jia got to experience Jiffy Pop for the 1st time.  This upped the camp fire game and he's insisting we stock up for camping.

We got Jerry a treat cone.  He loves it.

Having him on our table was fun.  We totally just watch his antics.  He can pick up a toilet paper roll, lift it over his head, lower it down over his head and then crawl through it.  He's an athlete.  He's mastered getting to the top of his water bottle and he's chewing a giant hole in the stand.  

Shannon and I went for a beach walk in the morning.

Then we settled into our couches at the fire and did our sewing together.  Camping calm and bliss.

Kena and Eric went exploring after lunch.

They went further than we did.

We're back home.  Getting life sorted.
