A stroll and a visit to the Tengwang Pavilion

Fire cracker store.

Jia got her own split pants!  Really, she peed through her pants and we needed some more and the lady in the shop we were hiding in the rain from sold us the split pants.  Then I bought Jia another Chinese outfit to grow into.  Hard to resist the cute stuff for her!

These are out of order, this was this morning before breakfast.

Jia wasn't too thrilled with the noise of these balls.

Go Jia Go!!

Tengwang Pavilion

It was raining today so our walk was a bit muddy and we had to take shelter a few times.  The cooler air was sure appreciated though.  You'd think there was an artic wind, storm warnings, power outages and snow fall happening here by the way the locals are reacting.  They're just panicking that the girls aren't warm enough and we had them in long sleeves today in an effort to appease.  We're still pretty warm.

Our guide has planned every single meeting for 10 or 2, both of Jia's nap times.  It's been a tad frustrating.  She is absolutely clueless about the babies.  Today she was just shocked that Eric wasn't coming with us to the Pavilion.  I said loud and clear 'the BABY is SICK and it's her nap time'.  I didn't bother mentioning that we were there 6 years ago and doubted that it had changed much.

We were some of the last to leave the pavilion.  The shopping was great in there.  The girls had a riot picking things out.  I got to buy all of our treasures in 3's.

Jia has been rejecting Eric, this morning she let him take her out of the restaurant for a walk and since then she's been slowly warming up to him.  It was a nice break for me to head out with the big girls.  We had a great time and when we got back to the room Jia yelled out MAMA!  with a big smile.  Her nose crinkles up when she is really happy.  She still prefers Mama, but I'm guessing in a day or two we'll have the transitioning thing down.

Catherine some times I look at Jia and see Anna.  No one else does, but I really do.

Jia really fights going to sleep.  Tonight was particularily bad, took a full hour after her bottle for her to finally sleep.  I sure hope she stays asleep!  It's hard listening to her cry that hard, we just don't know what she wants.  Breaks our hearts.  This too will improve in time I'm sure.

We did go get passport pictures taken for Jia today for immigration.  Tomorrow I need to finally read the list and go get some photo copies.  We're having a celebration dinner tomorrow night.  Not sure what we'll do during the day, I've suggested a park and everyone was happy with that idea.  Depends on the weather I guess.
