Walking the back streets today.

After our paperwork this morning we wanted to go to the pavillion but our guide wanted us to go tomorrow so we were all in the lobby and ready to head out so we ended up walking along back roads.  Extremely entertaing afternoon.  Interesting, fun, educational.  We all loved it.

We found a guy at a noodle shop making hand made noodles by scrapping a knife in long strokes on a big piece of dough, the strings went right into the noodle water.  Eric ordered noodles for us for lunch.  They were SOOOO good.  Kids thought they were spicey, I didn't and I'm hoping we can go back again.  Later when we were sitting a block away in a little park, we were surrounded by some ladies who were attempting to talk to the girls, they checked out our noodles and pointed to where we got them.  Funny.  One of the ladies was an English teacher which meant we could actually let them know about the girls.  I have the card explaining that we're adopting Jia and taking her to Canada but most people can't read it and hand it back.

We bought shoes for all three girls, five pairs for $25.

We came back to the hotel to find the notary was here hours early, just luck that we came back when we did.  We got our papers and gave our gift.  Tonight we're out to dinner with our guide.  Jia is just waking up from her nap.  Perhaps we'll have time for a wee play in the toy room here before we go out.

Pavillion tomorrow.

Oh, and it was cool here today, finally a break from the heat, but then the granny clothing police came out in forces to let us know the kids aren't dressed warm enough.

I'll update pictures on here later.  Jia needs me.
