A woman passing by offered to take a picture for us. Which was sweet. Chuckling tonight as I see she missed the point of the sign.
The mountain view was likely spectacular before the new tower went in. Haha.
We ate lunch at the Eldorado. Did not disappoint. Kids have never seen a buffet quite like that before. My foodies were thrilled. Then we walked the row. Three hotels hooked together with indoor walkways.
We went to Circus Circus but we were way too early. Doesn't really start until 4. Expensive for the games. Everyone was good to walk away except Jia who really wanted to "win". I told her I'd rather take her shopping.
Lili wanted to do some rock climbing but she wasn't dressed for it so they just checked it out.
Did the Truckee River walk.
Found a dog park on our way back to the Sands. Missing our dogs.
During the night I was awoken by something loud. I thought plane coming towards the tower. Eric said train. Yup...train goes right by us. We checked out the station today. They have a day trip we can do to Truckee. We've never been and the littles haven't been on a train. So that is the plan for tomorrow.
After walking for a few hours we drove to a Walmart and stocked up on some healthy snacks for the room. The car had some power issues. Eric was able to jump the car with an emergency jump start battery pack. After dropping me and the kids at the hotel he and Fei took off to a local auto place for a new battery. Fingers crossed that was the problem and we're good to go.
For tonight the boys and I are settled in. Eric and the girls have a reservation for 10:30 at an escape room. Hoping they take some pictures.
They weren't allowed to take pictures. They didn't quite rescue their uncle, he perished. They were only a couple clues away from solving the mystery. They all liked it. Jia is feeling inexplicably scared so she is sleeping with Mama tonight ;)
