An adventure day with Luk.

We offered up an adventure day today.  Luk was our only taker.
Kai was adamant that he wanted to stay home.  Lili was working all day.  Fei and Jia were up until 4am playing games so they wanted to sleep.  We set Kai's pb&j lunch up and set Alexa to alert him at lunch time.  We did a practice to see if he could get her to stop with his voice.  It took a few tries but he did it on the practice.  Then we were all wondering if he'd manage with out us there to guide him through saying "Alexa stop".  It was funny to picture Fei or Jia having to come down and stop the alarm.  Kai does know how to get the girls when he needs help.  He doesn't get food, or cook, or answer the phone or get the door.  He was reminded again and again and again not to answer the door.  He was thrilled to get to stay home.  He did great today.  Fei and Jia reported the day went good.  I did get a text telling us we needed to come home because Kai had pooped.  Haha.
We went to the flea market at the curling club but it only had three vendors.  Then to Chemainus to find the Sasquatch that is in a store that you can take pictures with.  I saw a picture of him but have no clue where he is and of course couldn't find the post on Facebook again.  We never found him so the hunt will have to continue another day. We did the market, the Willow Street antique mall, the waterwheel park labyrinth and the flea market at the antique barn.
Luk and Eric were really looking and learning.  I was definitely having to prod them along.
I had this set as a kid.  Memories.  I resisted buying it.
I got Eric a stainless band with a rolling tungston carbide center.  He hasn't worn a wedding band in years and years.  I thought he just didn't like them.  Turns out he just doesn't have one that fits. I'm jealous mine doesn't have a built in fidget ;)
I've lost our Twilight movie and have been looking to replace it.  At the flea market an older fellow was packing up and offered a box of movies to us for free.  At first glance we didn't want them. Too many silly ones to have to get rid of.  Then I found Twilight. The fellow told us all of them or nothing.  I tried buying the one and he agreed to one dollar but then Eric found a set of old movies so we took the box for free.  Haha.  It will be fun to dig through later and see what is in there.  It's mostly kid dvds.  Too young for our crew.
We got to eat with Lili, her break coincided with our lunch. Happenstance.  Then we stopped at a thrift store that doesn't price anything, he asks you to make an offer and then haggle.  I scanned and headed back to the car with Luk.  Eric stuck it out and found a 12 volt car fridge and made a haggle deal of $15.  He's happy with a new toy.  We ended our day with a wee visit with Nicole and Steve which was nice.
